Millage Election Public Notice

Our district is funded by the property owners in our service area. We appreciate your support.  Without your help, the service we offer would not be possible.  We are funded by ad valorem taxes (property taxes) not sales taxes.  At the present time, we will be on the May 1 ballot for a millage renewal.  In 2001, you, the voters, approved a millage of 27, or 25 + 2 mils.  In this renewal, we are asking for a renewal of 26, or 25 +1, which is a reduction of one mil from the last election.

The general public is invited to attend an informational meeting on this issue to be held at Mandeville City Hall on Wednesday, April 21st at 7:00 p.m.  If you have any questions prior to that time, please email me at mtassin@mandevillefire.com

Once again, thank you for your support.

elcome to our new website!

St. Tammany Parish Fire District #4 serves a community of approximately 54,000 citizens with over 100 specialists in fire suppression and emergency medical services.  Fire District #4 offers fire prevention programs and life saving awareness classes, state of the art life saving technology, hazardous material response and an urban search and rescue team.

Our average response time is less than six minutes for critical and life saving incidents.

We have been awarded an insurance Class 2 rating (the lowest in the parish) based on our expertise and standards of practice.  This allows our residents to pay a lower insurance premium.

Our training facility is nationally recognized for its intense paramedic training program in partnership with Delgado Community College.

Please feel free to browse this site for more information on our history, facilities, equipment, training facility and monthly Board of Commissioners Meetings, including agendas and minutes.
